Smoke & Handcuffs
I recall a time after the election when President Trump assured the American people that tweeting would no longer be a way of communicating after he entered office. He stated, "Don't worry, I'll give it up after I'm president. We won't tweet anymore. I don't know. Not presidential." This remark came after his wife Melania said that she wished Trump would "tone down his twitter habit". However, as we've all seen after Trump took office, he hasn't stopped. In fact he spends most of his time reacting to whatever news he may be watching.
This has been focused on in many occasions such as calling Chelsea Manning an "ungrateful traitor",
as well as threatening to "send in the Feds" to Chicago to fix their crime issues after watching Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor.
I believe we've all started to get use to the fact that Trump is still using twitter, and whether we like that fact or not, he's going to do it anyway. But what concerns are there that trump is tweeting publicly about the news? I personally see an issue with the fact that our president is getting all his news from the same sources as us, without getting the fact checks a President should have before making official decisions based off it. He even claimed in an interview with Chuck Todd that he gets his military advice from "shows". Why is our President not conversing with trained officials and getting the facts on issues happening in the United States?
Trump watches cable news from sun up to sun down, but if you want my personal opinion on this, its not because trump is watching to see what's happening in the world. He's watching the news to see what everyone is saying about him. If you want Trump on your side, you should pamper his ego and he'll be all yours. Agree with me or not, but that's how I personally view Trumps addiction to watching cable news.
I'm not saying our President shouldn't be aware of what is happening on the news, but I think Trumps odd fascination is damaging in the respect that he does not take the time to fact check his news sources and instead reacts instantly via twitter, creating confusion and uproar in the American people.

That is so true. He is just watching the same news, and tweeting it like if he was still a teen trying to create chaos. He really needs to focus on being a good president, and not what people think about him.
